Service update

The Melbourne City Express is currently operating at a 20 minute frequency between 4:30am and midnight, 7 days per week.

A reminder that face masks are required to be worn whilst travelling on SkyBus.

Purchasing information

  • Tickets are valid for three months from date of purchase unless otherwise indicated.
  • Tickets must be presented at the time of travel. You can either print your online ticket or present it on your smartphone.
  • Prices include airport access, road tolls and Australian Goods & Services Tax.
  • All currency is in Australian dollars.
  • Children travelling under child fare tickets must be 4 – 16 years of age.
  • Child tickets must be purchased with one or more adult or senior tickets.
  • Senior fares require the presentation of a valid, Australian state issued Seniors card.

Melbourne City Express

  • The One way ticket includes travel on the SkyBus Express Service between Melbourne Airport and Southern Cross Station. The ticket may be used for a single journey in either direction.

  • The Round trip ticket includes two SkyBus Express Service trips to complete your journey with the convenience of a single ticket.

Melbourne City Express Super Special

  • Offer available to purchase from SkyBus website and app only.

  • Offer valid until 31 July 2021, unless extended.

  • Offer only valid for Melbourne City Express tickets.

  • Tickets are valid for three months from the date of purchase.

  • Offer can not be used in conjunction with any other offers or discounts.

  • Children aged 4 - 16 years, proof of age may be required at time of boarding.
