Skybus service to expand to St Kilda and Southern Melbourne suburbs via the Acquisition of Frankston and Peninsula Airport Shuttle (FAPAS), effective 20/1/2016.
The AATS Group of companies, trading as Skybus Melbourne and Skybus Auckland, has completed the acquisition of the Frankston and Peninsula Airport Shuttle (FAPAS) business.
FAPAS operate a dedicated Melbourne Airport to Melbourne Southern suburbs service daily, with stops in St Kilda and other Melbourne bayside suburbs.
The purchase of FAPAS reflects AATS Group continued commitment to investment in improvements in Airport Transit options for Victorian travellers and visitors arriving at Melbourne Airport.
“The last 12 months for Skybus Melbourne has seen the introduction of our first six (6) new Double Deckers, Free Wifi across our entire fleet, strong patronage increases, works starting on our SXS Airport Gateway and record numbers of customer compliments received.
We are very excited to announce the purchase of the FAPAS Airport bus operation, and look forward to making further announcements in coming months for the Skybus St Kilda and Frankston bound service.
These announcements will include significant upgrades to the customer experience on this service in respect to frequency, fleet and customer comfort.
We would like to congratulate the owners of FAPAS on the success of their business and welcome the staff of FAPAS onboard the AATS team.” Michael Sewards and Adam Begg, AATS Directors.
