SkyBus lands in Sydney: Your trusted SkyBuses now supporting Sydney Airport operations
SkyBus has officially expanded to Sydney Airport, marking an exciting new chapter for Australasia's trusted airport transport brand.
After almost five decades of connecting passengers to airports across the region, SkyBus has commenced comprehensive airport precinct transportation services at Sydney Airport – our first expansion into New South Wales.
SkyBus is operating across Sydney Airport's precinct, carrying travellers to remote gates, between terminals, and providing essential transportation services that keep one of Australia's busiest airports running smoothly.
"We're delighted to be partnering with Sydney Airport through our established SkyBus brand, which has built a strong reputation across Australia for specialised airport bussing services," says Kinetic Managing Director (Australia) Matthew Campbell.
"Our airside bussing services in particular will play an important role in supporting Sydney Airport's expansion plans, ensuring passengers and airport operations are seamlessly connected as demand continues to grow."
The expansion comes at an exciting time for Sydney Airport, which continues to grow and welcome increasing numbers of passengers. Our services will play a crucial role in supporting this growth, ensuring smooth passenger flow as demand rises.
Our Sydney Airport fleet will transition to fully electric over the contract term. This continues our track record as part of the Kinetic group leading bus electrification across Australasia, from Tasmania's first electric SkyBuses in Hobart to our expanding zero-emission fleet in Melbourne.
The Sydney Airport contract expands SkyBus operations to our fifth major airport location, joining our established services at Melbourne Airport, Hobart Airport, Adelaide Airport, and Auckland Airport.
The distinctive red SkyBus fleet is truly becoming a national symbol of quality airport transport, and we're proud to now call Sydney Airport home.
