Held outdoors in the heart of Melbourne at the Paddock in Fed Square, Piknic Electronik brings together quality electronic music and great summer weather for a match made in heaven. Coupled with food trucks, market stalls and good vibes, Piknic is the perfect way to spend your Easter Sunday.

Friday night drinks has never been so educational. Over summer the NGV invites you to enjoy Friday Nights at the gallery, which includes including food, drinks, live music and of course art. See this summer’s major international exhibition Andy Warhol | Ai Weiwei in an exclusive after hours setting. Good Friday sees Aussie rockers Died Pretty take the stage.

To kick off the start of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Good Friday sees Triple J Radio Station host a free radio broadcast choc-o-block with lols for your listening pleasure. Get down to the Melbourne Town Hall for a free comedy show and their signature Like a Version performance and of course chocolate. Best to get down before 11am to beat the queues.

For all travellers visiting Melbourne, watching a live AFL (Australian Football League) match is a must. Fast-paced, exciting and skilful, the AFL was born and bred in Melbourne and is a way of life for most of the city's inhabitants. Visit the spectacular Melbourne Cricket Ground, Australia’s largest stadium, to see the 2016 AFL Premiership Season kick off with Richmond Football Club v Carlton Football Club on Thursday night. Alternatively there are matches in Melbourne on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Be sure to enjoy the complete AFL experience with a meat pie and a Carlton Draught at half time.
