Although this experience is quintessentially Melbourne and represents the city’s current food trends and culture, it is an international festival held in over 22 cities around the world, and has been doing so for over ten years. Over 14 restaurants are taking part, culminating in over 50 dishes to choose from. Flinders Lane heavyweights Cumulus Inc. (European) and Supernormal (Asian) are on the bill, as well as staple Melbourne names such as Gazi (Greek), MoVida (Spanish) and Fancy Hank’s (American BBQ). The six available sessions are all over 4 hours long, giving you plenty of time to sample your way through artisan stalls, take part in interactive attractions or purchase products.

There are 6 ticket types to choose from, easily catering for everyone. For the adventurous types why not try the Lûmé Looking Glass Virtual Reality Experience, a truly remarkable insight into chef Shaun Quade’s unique approaches too cooking.

Getting there is convenient and simple too; SkyBus’ new St Kilda Express service departing from Melbourne Airport (Tullamarine) every 30 minutes stops right outside Albert Park on Fitzroy Street. From there it is just a short walk through the gardens to Pelican Lawn. Alternatively, jump on the number 96 tram from the SkyBus Melbourne Hub at Southern Cross Station in the CBD.

There are still tickets available so make sure you get down to Albert park this weekend and experience Taste of Melbourne. Please note that tickets are valid only for the time and date indicated on the ticket.
