Brisbane has been truly blessed with one of the most remarkable exhibitions in Australia this year.
The ‘European Masterpieces from The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York’ has landed at Brisbane’s Gallery of Modern Art. This is one of the finest collections of European paintings in the world, the majority of which rarely leave permanent display in New York.
Showing until 17 October 2021, this extraordinary exhibition will take you on a journey through five centuries of European painting. The exhibition features 65 paintings by Fra Angelico, Titian, Caravaggio, Rembrandt, Vermeer, Rubens, Raphael, Goya, Turner, van Gogh, Cézanne, Monet and others.
