SkyBus Grows a Mo to Save a Bro!

SkyBus has transformed one of its iconic red buses into a moving campaign to help drive awareness for Movember across St Kilda, Southbank, Peninsula and Western suburbs.

Melbourne, Australia – Mo Bros across the globe will grow moustaches this month in support of Australian born-and-bred men’s health charity, Movember – and SkyBus is again jumping on board for the hairy season.

SkyBus has transformed one of its iconic red buses into a moving campaign to help drive awareness for Movember across St Kilda, Southbank, Peninsula and Western suburbs.

A further 42 SkyBus vehicles across Victoria, Queensland, Tasmania and Auckland, NZ will also grow moustaches by installing moustache decals on the fleet over November to draw attention to men’s health issues.

Movember Country Director, APAC, Rachel Carr said she is delighted to see SkyBus support Movember in such a big way this year.

“Having their fleet of buses transform into moving billboards for men’s health allows us to reach more men throughout Australia & New Zealand, with the aim of encouraging guys to sign up for the hairy month and spark life-saving conversations,” she said.

SkyBus Co-CEO Michael Sewards says SkyBus is proud to partner with Movember.

“It means a lot to staff right across our organisation to support a charity tackling the stigma around prostate and testicular cancer and other men’s health issues. It resonates with us even further that the movement was also started in Melbourne, just like SkyBus,” Mr Sewards said.

“Many of our employees have been affected by men’s health issues in some way, through someone they know or personally, and supporting this campaign is a great way to highlight the importance of encouraging the men around us to take action and look after their mental and physical health.”

SkyBus Customer Service Manager Daniel Loughnan says he is thrilled to support a cause fighting diseases that had impacted his family.

“Growing up I saw my grandfather, his brother and both of my uncles all suffer with prostate cancer. Thankfully they were detected early and survived the disease. I’m proud to help spread the very important message about men’s health – Movember for me is the month to grow a mo and see my doctor,” he said.

As part of the initiative, SkyBus is encouraging staff, families, friends and the wider community to take an active approach to their health with Movember information on display across its depots and offices.
