SkyBus Stadium announced after Major Sponsorship Deal with the Frankston Football Club

"We value our role as an integral part of the Frankston and Peninsula community, and thus the decision to sponsor the Frankston FC is an easy one to make and we are honoured to have the stadium named after us."

Frankston, AustraliaSkyBus, operator of Australasia's premier airport transfer service, has inked a year-long sponsorship deal with the Frankston Dolphins Football Club (FC) including naming rights to the club's stadium, to be now known as the SkyBus Stadium.

The sponsorship comes at a crucial time as the Frankston Dolphins' re-enter the Victorian Football League (VFL) and seek to reclaim its title as Frankston and The Mornington Peninsula' football powerhouse during the 2018 VFL season.

Michael Sewards, Co-CEO and Director of SkyBus said: "We value our role as an integral part of the Frankston and Peninsula community, and thus the decision to sponsor the Frankston FC is an easy one to make and we are honoured to have the stadium named after us."

"We also recognise the glorious history of the club and the enormous contribution of the Board of the club, and also the support of local MP Paul Edbrooke in the club's successful readmission to the VFL and save the club."

"This sponsorship will assist the efforts of the Frankston Dolphins to field a strong and competitive team for the 2018 season. More importantly, SkyBus' support will also help the club pave the way for budding young AFL talent to develop, whilst also improving the oval and its facilities to become a ground that is conducive to train and compete and an important asset for the community," added Mr Sewards.

Frankston FC has helped to develop many AFL greats in the past including 2016 Premiership coach, Luke Beveridge, and Western Bulldog premiership players, Matthew Boyd and Tory Dickson.

"SkyBus is well-known here by many in the Frankston and Mornington Peninsula thanks to its successful airport services. It is only natural for the company to pursue their interest in uplifting the club and local community through this sponsorship, and for that we are truly grateful. We look forward to a successful partnership with SkyBus," said Gary Buckenara, General Manager of Frankston Football Club.

Paul Edbrooke MP, State Member for Frankston, said: "The entire community fought hard to win back our club's VFL licence. I'll be so proud to sit with the fans in the SkyBus Stadium this season and cheer on the Frankston Dolphins. This is a great example of what we can achieve when we work together - business, community and government have all come together to deliver a great result for Frankston."
