Where do I get on the SkyBus?

- At Melbourne Airport, (Tullamarine), you will find us kerbside at Arrivals for International and Domestic flights. View Map

Do I need to book to travel on SkyBus?
No. Reservations or bookings are not required for SkyBus. Buses depart every 10-15 minutes daily.
You can either pay on the day of travel or purchase and print your tickets online now.
However, if you are departing Melbourne and want to be picked up at your hotel or motel in central Melbourne, you will need to book our SkyBus Hotel Service the day prior to travel. Ask your concierge to call SkyBus on +61 3 9600 1711. (Please quote your room number)

How much time should I need to allow myself before departure time?
Passengers should allow themselves at least 5 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time to purchase tickets and boarding on SkyBus.
Where do I buy tickets?
You can purchase and print your tickets on-line now [link to purchase page]. SkyBus also sells tickets from ticket booths at our city terminal at Southern Cross Station, and at Melbourne Airport terminals T1 and T3.
Other SkyBus ticket sales outlets are the Metshop at Melbourne Town Hall, and the Metshop on-line store, where you can buy SkyBus Metcards and other Met tickets.
Can I pay by EFTPOS or credit card?
Yes. You can purchase your tickets online by credit card 24-hours, seven-days-a-week. You can also use credit cards or EFTPOS from our ticket booths at Melbourne Airport and Southern Cross Station.
Ticket booth hours are: - Melbourne Airport - 7.30am to 9.30pm daily, Southern Cross Station - 5.45 am to 10 pm Monday to Friday, 5.45 am to 6.45 pm Saturday and Sunday. At Melbourne Airport only, credit card sales are available via our automated kiosks 24 hours a day.
Can I use my SkyBus ticket in either direction?
Yes, tickets can be used in either direction.
If I purchase a return trip ticket can I use it for two adults one way?
No, a return trip ticket is to be used on a separate journey in either direction.
How long are tickets valid for?
All tickets purchased online, direct at SkyBus booth or on bus are valid for three months from date of purchase.
All pre-printed tickets will have an expiry date printed on the ticket.
How do I get to and from my hotel?
Hotel Service is the free link between your hotel and the SkyBus city terminal. (Conditions apply).

Which SkyBus do I catch to get to Melbourne Airport (Tullamarine) on time?
SkyBus takes 20 minutes from the city to the airport.
If you are using our free city Hotel Shuttle, allow one hour between hotel pickup time and arrival at Melbourne Airport.
Allow enough time at Melbourne Airport to meet your airline’s check in requirements.
Does SkyBus operate the service to Avalon Airport?
No.
Does SkyBus operate on other routes such as Frankston, Dandenong or the Eastern Suburbs? Can I get picked up on the way to Melbourne Airport or from a private residence?
SkyBus does not operate any other route and we do not pick up passengers at any other stops other than our terminals at Melbourne Airport and city terminal at Southern Cross Station in Spencer Street.
However, SkyBus connects with all suburban and country rail services and trams and other bus services at the Southern Cross Station bus interchange.
Can I bring cats, dogs or bikes on SkyBus?
Pets are not permitted onboard SkyBus.
Bikes can be carried on-board if dismantled and secured in a box.
What times does SkyBus depart?
SkyBus operates 24-hours, seven-days-a-week departures from every 10 minutes.

Skybus fares are the best value Melbourne Airport to Melbourne city transfers, with a one-way ticket 70 % less than the average taxi fare.

How much luggage can I take onboard SkyBus?
All SkyBus vehicles are equipped with on-board luggage storage, but we do have limits.

Is SkyBus easy to access by wheelchair?
Both the SkyBus and our Hotel Connection Service buses are 100 percent mobility-enhanced, providing access to wheelchair passengers.
Please call SkyBus on +61 3 9600 1711 the day before you travel to confirm if you need wheelchair access on SkyBus Hotel Service.
Can I use my SkyBus ticket on other public transport in Melbourne?
In conjunction with Metlink, SkyBus has introduced Metcards which provide integrated ticketing for zone-1 travel. These tickets are available from our ticket booths or online at Metshop on-line store.
